Boom Crash Opera is an Australian group formed in 1985 and originally composed of Richard Pleasance, Peter Farnan, Dale Ryder, Peter Maslen and Greg O’Connor.
The group released their first single called "Great Wall" in 1986, a single that would be a great success but limited only to Australia. Followed by a few “Hands up in the air” which will experience roughly the same level of success.
It was not until the following year that their first album came out in 1987, an eponymous album with certain success and which above all confirmed their status as a rising star.
The year 1989 will truly consecrate them with the release of the album "These here are crazy times !", album which will remain as their biggest success in sales. An album carried at arm's length by the enormous single "Onion skin" which will also remain as their biggest single success.
Four years went by before their new album "Fabulous Beast" was released in 1993, an album of lesser success but still successful. Album whose flagship single will be "In the morning".
New album "Born" in 1995, album which will be their last major success and from which will be extracted mainly the single "Gimme".
