Boom Crash Opera is an Australian group formed in 1985 and originally composed of Richard Pleasance, Peter Farnan, Dale Ryder, Peter Maslen and Greg O’Connor.
The group released their first single called "Great Wall" in 1986, a single that would be a great success but limited only to Australia. Followed by a few “Hands up in the air” which will experience roughly the same level of success.
It was not until the following year that their first album came out in 1987, an eponymous album with certain success and which above all confirmed their status as a rising star.
The year 1989 will truly consecrate them with the release of the album "These here are crazy times !", album which will remain as their biggest success in sales. An album carried at arm's length by the enormous single "Onion skin" which will also remain as their biggest single success.
Four years went by before their new album "Fabulous Beast" was released in 1993, an album of lesser success but still successful. Album whose flagship single will be "In the morning".
New album "Born" in 1995, album which will be their last major success and from which will be extracted mainly the single "Gimme".

1986 ... a first single which positions them as one of the big revelations of the moment. With the key to a first classified title. It starts off pretty well ...
1986 ... of course, success is limited to Australia but it's always better than nothing as they say. Many groups would have liked to start with several classified titles ...
1987 ... the group confirms all the good that one could think of him. Of course, he will never become one of the very Great on the planet, but his level is more than enough to be among the Elite, that's clear !
1987 ... the rise in power is linear and allows the group to strengthen its style. With more and more structured songs as a result. To our greatest delight...
1989 ... the title of consecration. They achieve the greatest success of their career here and at the same time offer themselves a direct ticket to posterity. HU-GE !
1989 ... a year 1989 which will undoubtedly remain as their best vintage. The titles are inspired, so success follows quite naturally ...
1989 ... a triplet of particularly successful titles to end in style this decade 80. A decade which will have seen them hatch, then to reach the big league with a certain ease. It remains to be seen what the next decade has in store for them ...
1990 ... a new decade that starts off on hats with this title which will surely remain as one of their most emblematic. The group has now reached its best level and we can hear it. HU-GE !
1990 ... a BIG year 1990 with indisputably inspired titles and quality on every level. A group that will not have remained as the best known in its country and which would have really deserved recognition much greater than what it was ...
1991 ... a transitional title which does not really reflect their real level. A strong title that will not remain as their best title, it's clear ...
1992 ... one of the rare mono-title years. This does not prevent them from delivering a title much more inspired than its predecessor. Phew, we were scared ...
1993 ... the great adventure continues quietly but surely. A nice adventure which saw them produce several world class singles. Rather flattering assessment ...
1994 ... the group manages to sign here one of its biggest successes almost 10 years after its beginnings. Unfortunately, this time, it is indeed the last major ...
