Sugarhill Gang is an American band formed in 1979 in Englewood and composed of Michael Wright, Henry Jackson and Guy O’Brien.
Little information concerning them except that they will remain in the musical history of the 80s mainly for the enormous title "Rapper's delight", title which will remain in the history as being the first single of Rap to enter in the Top40 of the American Bilbord Hot 100.
As such, they deserved this article.

The group simply signs here one of the biggest Dance hits of the end of the 20th century, nothing only that. All thanks to a very free cover of the Chic title "Good times" and above all thanks to a style of phrasing singing never seen before. MO-NU-MEN-TAL !
1980 ... the transition to the 80s takes place under ideal conditions even if this title is unable to compete with the previous gem

1985 ... the final twilight. Last year of existence and especially last single. That will not change the situation unfortunately. An adventure that nevertheless produced one of the biggest dance hits of all time. Not that bad !
