28° in the shade...

Little information about Jean-François Maurice, whose real name is Jean Albertini, apart from the fact that he was a French producer, lyricist and singer who will remain mainly in the musical history of the end of the XXth century for the big single caliber "Monaco, 28° in the shade" released in 1978.

But also for the lyrics he wrote for titles now very famous such as "Aline" by Christophe and another "Kiss me" by C. Jerome.

Artist who died on November 6, 1996 at the age of 49.

As such alone, he deserved this article.

To discover or rediscover...

Tracks :

1978 ... just a single title, THIS title, was enough to bring the singer into the French musical Pantheon at the end of the twentieth century. All on a formidably efficient Ultimate Slow, surely one of the most emblematic of the 1970s. MAS-TER-FUL !

1979 ... Doctor Es Ultimate Slow, it is clear. In 2 titles, he will undoubtedly have become one of the biggest suppliers of the end of the decade in this particular field

1983 ... the transition to the 80s will unfortunately not give him a gift. His style has not changed, but the times are not the same and the expectations of the public are different. An error of appreciation that he will pay cash ...

1985 ... a style that was really too seventies which inevitably marginalized him. He does not demerit, far from it, but he will never have been able to capture the young audience of the 80s, unfortunately ...
